CeraVe’s Acne Control Cleanser is a powerful yet gentle face wash that targets breakouts without compromising the skin barrier. Featuring Oil-Absorbing Technology to minimize visible shine, this refreshing, gel-to-foam salicylic acid cleanser effectively removes dirt and excess oil, gently exfoliates and penetrates clogged pores to help prevent new acne breakouts.
The hero ingredient is salicylic acid, a proven acne-fighter. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that helps gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, reduce blackheads and the appearance of pores, and treats and prevents acne — and BHA exfoliants are less harsh than face scrubs. It’s backed by oil control and barrier care: 2% salicylic acid treats acne, reduces blackheads, improves the appearance of pores, and penetrates pores to help prevent new breakouts, while hectorite clay helps absorb oil and helps skin look less shiny, niacinamide helps calm the skin, and ceramides help fill in the gaps between skin cells so your skin can seal in moisture and seal out impurities.

It dispenses as a clear gel and transforms into a light, foaming face wash as you lather — the gentle wash and exfoliation smooths, hydrates and cleanses skin without leaving a stripped, tight feeling. How to Use
Use every morning and evening. Wet face, then work a dime-size amount into a lather. Gently massage, avoiding the eye area, then rinse well. Note: salicylic acid may increase sun sensitivity, so always follow with SPF during the day.
